I found time yesterday to rearrange and check what's missing in my Tomica Limited collection. The Tomica Limited models have more details in paint and wheels compared to the Regular Tomica line.

I took a few group photos so I can easily identify which models are still missing. Hope to complete this set soon.

Experimental Shots at the 21st

After a very busy and very short (3-day) work week, due to our observance of the Holy Week, I found time to open and shoot my Tomica Limited GT-R vs Z set this morning. All cars are in Patrol Car livery and all have great details.

Since it's a holiday and I was at our 21st floor condo unit at Rockwell Center, I decided to do an experimental shoot using natural light with the Nestle and Phinma buildings as background. It was hard since I needed to check on different shooting angles to achieve realism.

I was only 75% happy with the outcome of the photos since the buildings were blurred but had a great time shooting them. Let me know your thoughts on this shoot.

Nissan Fairlady 350Z

The Nissan 350Z is a two seat sports car that was manufactured by Nissan Motor Co, LTD. The 350Z is the fifth generation of Nissan's Z-car line, originally introduced in 1969 (as a 1970 model year) as the Datsun 240Z. The 350Z entered production in late 2002 and was sold and marketed as a 2003 model. It was available in several trim packages and is sold as both a coupé and roadster before being succeeded by the 370Z for the 2009 model year.

Toyota Celica 1600GT

The first generation Celica was released to the Japanese market in late 1970, and targeted to be a more affordable alternative to Toyota's sportscar, the 2000GT.

Displayed at the 1970 Tokyo Motor Show in October, and marketed in December of the same year, the Celica was a personal car that emphasized styling and driving enjoyment. Japanese models were ET, LT, ST, GT, and GTV.

For export markets, the Celica was offered in three different levels of trim; LT, ST and GT. The lower-end LT was equipped with the single carbureted four-cylinder 2T engine displacing 1600 cc, while the ST came with a twin downdraft-carburetor 2T-B engine. The 2T-G that powered the high-end GT model was a DOHC 1600 cc engine equipped with twin Mikuni-Solex Carburetors.

The Japanese GT models had various differences from the ET, LT and ST including the hood flutes, power windows, air conditioning, and specific GT trim, but shared a few things with the ST - a full-length centre console and oil pressure/ammeter gauges whilst the LT had warning lights for these functions.

There was also the GTV version, which had the 2T-G engine, a slightly cut-down interior, and did not come standard with things like power windows, but they were optional. The GTV has firmer suspension.
